The web3 industry deserves better UX. Mass adoption will never come unless we make it a hundred times easier for users to onboard and participate.
The issue? It’s complicated and expensive to build both (i) an on-chain protocol and (ii) an end-to-end user experience that helps a wide set of users benefit from the protocol.
Concurrently, the economic incentives in web3 do not reward collaboration between the growing number of builders who could tap new markets globally, and the existing protocols who have capital. Builders can’t focus on building really great UX because they have to worry about monetizing their product right from the start instead of driving incremental value.
What if we could align and enforce incentives so builders automatically earn a share of the value they generate for backend protocols? This would bring talent and more user-centric products to market, and reliable funding for builders to bring new ideas to life.
Divvi does exactly this.
Divvi is a permissionless incentive orchestration layer that pays builders for the value they generate in web3. Its curated set of smart contracts provides a decentralized, results-based funding mechanism that ensures builders earn a fair share of protocol revenue, reducing reliance on grants and speculative investments.
Reward distributions are secured in contract code on any onchain ecosystem: protocols define their NGU (Number Go Up), i.e., the metric that measures the value creation they want to incentivize, and builders can automatically earn based on the incremental value they bring to those protocols.
Divvi tracks actual value creation onchain and distributes rewards accordingly. Value creation is defined by the protocol and can be any metric they want to improve (this is their Divvi NGU). For example DeFi apps are likely to look at TVL or transaction volume, while DeSoc apps will want to grow engagement, and DePINS might want to expand their node count. The protocol also sets a reward for each NGU unit that goes up.
Divvi’s “pay per impact” model presents a new way to incentivize onchain value creation and drive mass adoption.
When integrating with Divvi:
Vana, a decentralized data ecosystem, is integrating its data DAOs and agent-based models with Divvi’s incentive orchestration layer, so data contributors can earn royalties as their datasets power AI agents and automated onchain transactions.
Sommelier, a leading DeFi protocol for actively managed yield strategies, is integrating with Divvi to expand stablecoin yield access to new user segments. Through Divvi’s revenue-sharing model, builders who onboard users to Sommelier vaults will receive a share of protocol revenue based on TVL deposited.
Celo, an emerging Ethereum layer-2 blockchain emphasizing financial inclusion and sustainability, is integrating with Divvi to expand access to real-world use cases on web3. With a strong focus on mobile accessibility, Celo aligns with Divvi’s mission to drive Web3 adoption by incentivizing builders who create seamless, user-friendly onchain experiences. Among the early adopters are two builder teams developing payment apps tailored for local markets in Africa and Latin America, leveraging Mento stablecoins on Celo to enable seamless digital transactions.
While any user experience can integrate Divvi to earn revenue, apps remain a powerful way to reach users where they are: on mobile. The Mobile Stack SDK has evolved into a mobile framework to better reflect its role as the foundation for building seamless and high-performing web3 mobile apps that integrate Divvi.
Unlike a traditional SDK, which provides individual tools for integration, the framework offers a structured, end-to-end solution that simplifies development and standardizes web3 UX for native mobile apps. It allows to:
✅ Spin up a new app quickly
✅ Customize branding
✅ Define & modify tabs
✅ Navigate to and define custom screens
✅ Access wallet data
✅ Perform any blockchain interactions
✅ Integrate with the Divvi protocol
✅ Submit apps easily to the App Store / Play Store
By combining its incentive orchestration layer with a comprehensive mobile development framework, Divvi empowers builders to create sustainable, user-focused applications while broadening Web3’s accessibility to a global audience.
“As a developer, the fact that the app's registration to the Divvi protocol will be built into the Mobile Framework makes it a great selling point. It means I don’t have to worry about how I’m going to monetize my idea. Instead, I can just focus on building a good app, and iterate quickly based on user adoption and feedback, and get paid for the impact i generate.” - Tom, Senior developer building blockchain apps.
Join the Divvi Builder Camp, which rewards teams for building a functional user interface that integrates Divvi and generates incremental earnings for one or several of these protocols: Aerodrome (and Velodrome); Allbridge; Beefy; Celo; Curve; Fonbnk; Sommelier, and Vana among others.
Rewards will be automatically distributed through Divvi starting on February 19th, 2025. And that's not all... the first referrer to generate $5,000 in rewards, get's an extra $5,000. And the first team to get $10,000 worth of incentives, will be topped up with an additional $10,000.
